    Tthe National Apprenticeship Service and the Skills Funding Agency commissioned a good practice evaluation of the Diversity in Apprenticeship pilots. This research was conducted in two stages in autumn 2011 and spring 2012. This report synthesises the emerging evidence about effective and sustainable practices.

  • Impact of coaching

    An empirical longitudinal study into coachee well-being, engagement and job satisfaction following a coaching programme at work

    Whilst it may seem self evident that there would be a positive relationship between receiving coaching and individual employee psychological health and well-being, there is little evidence from the research to support this contention. This study aims to address this gap in the literature and explore whether coachees experience any impact on their well-being following a coaching intervention at work and whether this is sustained over time. This is a detailed report, available only to IES HR Network members.

    The 2011/12 Jobcentre Plus delivery plan set out a plan to modernise employer services. To inform this process, the Department for Work and Pensions commissioned a telephone survey with a representative sample of 3,000 employers who had placed a vacancy with Jobcentre Plus between 1 September and 30 November 2011. The focus of this report is on the main strategic findings of that research.

    Healthy Youth Centre Pilot Project

    Evaluation Report 2010-2012

    The Healthy Youth Centre pilot was introduced in 2010 to promote health and well-being to young people in order to educate, empower and support them into making future healthy decisions for themselves. This pilot evaluation took place over an 18 month period and utilised a mix of quantitative and qualitative methodologies to fully address the process and impact of the pilot. Interviews and focus groups were conducted involving a range of key stakeholders including NHS and Local Authority partners, youth centre staff and young people themselves.

    For some time the Society and College of Radiographers has been considering the support it might provide to help imaging service managers cope with changes taking place within the health sector and the changes in demands that arise from these changes. This report is based upon the work to undertake an initial scoping and development programme to identify areas for which learning modules could be developed.
