Conducted for the Employment Department, this study assessed the extent to which employers were prepared to identify and meet the needs of disabled recruits and employees. Only a small minority met the legal quota. Whilst some people with disabilities preferred to remain unregistered, stereotypes of disability and assumed difficulties deterred some employers from their active recruitment.
