The Youth Labour Market, SOLOTEC, and Training Credits
Spilsbury M, Dench S, Williams M | Report 277 | Institute for Employment Studies | Nov 1994
This research examines employers’ involvement with the youth labour market. It explores ways in which policy makers can influence employers’ decisions to recruit young people or old.
The results had implications for all policy makers interested in the operation of the youth labour market. The fieldwork for this study was undertaken in the South London area, but the analysis was at a national level. The findings were therefore applicable to the UK as a whole.
