This report sets out the findings from the second round evaluation of the impact of introducing Assistant Practitioners into Diagnostic Radiography services in NHS Scotland.
The training programme for the Assistant Practitioners had been introduced as a result of a scoping exercise undertaken by NHS Education for Scotland (NES) in 2004 which had found a lack of appropriate educational opportunities and pathways for support workers.
