Partnership at Work. Case studies in the voluntary sector
This research by IES for the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) was part of a three-year project ‘Building Social Partnerships in the Workplace’.
This project aimed to provide organisations with the skills and knowledge to implement good employment practice and the most appropriate form of employee representation. It was also designed to raise awareness of different approaches to workforce relations, and common success factors, in order that voluntary organisations could analyse and assess their own situation.
This report describes examples of existing practice and different models of staff representation, to gain a better understanding of workforce relations in the voluntary sector at the time. The study provides examples of good practice and different workforce models.
