Making a difference through social research
As a not-for-profit, the Institute for Employment Studies (IES) has been cultivating independent, evidence-based research that matters for fifty years.
From helping major employers to stop the gender pay gap in its tracks, to exploring mindfulness and mental health for government bodies, employers and charities like Mind or Cancer Research UK. As a researcher, every day is different, and we’ll support you to develop your own area of research interest.
About you
We are looking for bright, inquisitive researchers who are passionate about improving employment and education policy and practice. Ideally you’ll have:

OR
2. An undergraduate degree with significant relevant work experience in applied social or economic research.
Experience in handling quantitative data, and using software packages, such as SPSS or Stata to conduct multi-variate analysis is desirable, but not essential.
Your benefits
We offer excellent benefits of:
-
31 days’ holiday per year, plus bank holidays;
