Unbound Working
Wed 12 Feb 2025 09:30 to Wed 12 Feb 2025 10:30Online Event - Exclusively for HR Network members
Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns, updates to employment legislation, persistent skills shortages, increased health and wellbeing issues and rising rates of worklessness have all contributed to a recent surge of interest into the way work is organised. We have seen a proliferation of research to explore new ways of working e.g. the four-day week, hybrid models, flexible working for people with health conditions and flexible working in frontline and site-based roles.
As existing terms, such as flexible working, agile working, work autonomy, job design, work life balance, etc. often seem to miss the mark when describing the change that is required in how much we work, where we work, when we work and how we work, other terms are beginning to come into parlance.
Event summary
The unbound working webinar presents the findings from the HR Network’s 2024 research project. The webinar will explore what ‘unbound working’ is and the business benefits of adopting this and similar approaches to increasing worker autonomy on where, when and how they work. We will share findings on the pitfalls and, drawing from case study examples, provide some suggested ways forward for implementing the approach.
