Labour Market Experiences of People with Visual Impairments
IES was commissioned by the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) to undertake a secondary analysis of recent data from the UK Labour Force Survey, looking at the labour market experiences of people with visual impairments. The research examined the individual and household characteristics of people with visual impairments, their economic activity and job characteristics, and related factors. Where possible, their experiences and patterns of labour market participation were compared with those of other disabled people, as well as with non-disabled people.
