The European Survey of Enterprises on New and Emerging Risks (ESENER) is a pan-European survey of enterprises across 31 countries and is focussed on exploring management practice and policy with regard to managing health and safety risks at work. The survey includes 36,000 telephone-based interviews with representatives from both management and the workforce. This project used a mix of desk-based and primary research to explore the design, implementation and dissemination of ESENER, and provided recommendations to help improve the quality of a future wave of the survey.
