IES was appointed to evaluate 'The Academy for Large Scale Change' designed by the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement in order to equip Strategic Health Authorities, and regional and national leaders, with world class improvement and change skills. The evaluation was primarily formative and based on systemic action inquiry, which employs multiple methods of data collection throughout the programme to provide continuous feedback loops. The evaluation was therefore an integral part of the programme and learning process.
