European Inventory on the Validation of Non-formal and Informal Learning (country expert)
The overall objective of this project is to advance the work of the Commission (DG EAC) and Member States within the Education and Training 2020 work programme in the area of basic skills, by providing the basis for the Commission Report on policies for tackling low achievement in basic skills. IES has been subcontracted by Ecorys (the lead co-ordinator) to produce a Country Fiche for Greece of Cyprus on policies addressing basic skills. This will include (i) a descriptive part based on national and international data and the Rethinking Education country fiches and (ii) an analytical part discussing strengths and weaknesses of policies in the area of basic skills and the comprehensiveness of the reform efforts in this area.
