Development for NHS Non-Executive Directors

IES was asked to evaluate a pilot development programme that the NHS Institute is running for non-executive directors (NEDs) in the NHS. We surveyed participants and carried out telephone interviews with selected NEDs and their chairs, and reported back through 2009. It was hoped that the work would help the NHS Institute to assess the effectiveness of this programme and the impact that it is having on the work of NEDs.
